Copyright and Licensing Policy

Trends in Intellectual Property Research adopts an author-centric copyright policy that ensures maximum dissemination while preserving authors’ rights. Authors retain copyright of their work. All articles published in Trends in Intellectual Property Research are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), permitting unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original work is properly cited. Authors are free to:

  • Share the published version of their work in any medium or format;
  • Enter into additional non-exclusive agreements for distribution (e.g., inclusion in books, theses, or repositories);
  • Reuse their work in future scholarly publications, teaching, or research activities.

No transfer of copyright to the journal or publisher is required at any stage of the publication process.Similarly, users are allowed to "read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles" without prior permission from the publisher or the author.
